This hike may only be 2 miles but it is somewhat hard on your legs and butt. Good short hike to get your workout in for the day or weekend. As an added bonus there is a Geocache at the top. ;)

Detailed Trail Descriptions from Our Guidebooks

Day Hiking: Snoqualmie Region (The Mountaineers Books)
Dan A. Nelson
"The Cal Magnusson Trail leads up this geologic wonder: a near-perfect cinder cone volcano sitting in the middle of the Enumclaw Plateau. The trail, named for one of Washington’s most revered mountaineers and the man who helped launch REI’s quality-assurance test lab (still one of the best testing facilities in the outdoor industry today), climbs steeply to the summit of the cone."
"Pinnacle Peak is an old favorite of southeast King County hikers that deserves wider attention. The geologically unusual mountain rises straight up from the surrounding farmland, thrust upward like a monument to the powerful volcanic forces that shape the Washington landscape. Although views are limited, the quick climb to the top still makes a worthy outing. Despite having several alternate names, or perhaps because of it, Pinnacle Peak remains mostly obscure to many Puget Sound hikers."
