"A 51-mile paved, forested route alongside a river and over a mountain pass, through the interesting geology and scenery of the Cascades. The White Pass Scenic Byway takes you through the unparalleled Cascade Mountains during its journey across south-central Washington. The two-lane road is paved and has frequent turnouts. Traffic is moderately busy in the summer, and lighter in other seasons.

Elevations range from 1,200 feet to 4,500 feet atop White Pass. There are restaurants, lodges, and recreation facilities along the byway. Special attractions: Wildlife, lakes, skiing, Goat Rocks and William O. Douglas Wilderness Areas, Cascade Mountains, Oak Creek Game Range, camping, hunting, whitewater sports, fishing, autumn foliage.
