Pinnacle Peak Saddle

Pinnacle Peak Saddle Professional Review and Guide

"A short climb up to the saddle between Pinnacle and Plummer Peaks offers great views of Mount Rainier along the trail and from the saddle.

There are no tricky turns or trail junctions on this hike. Simply start from the trailhead, directly across from the west end of Reflection Lakes, and hike all the way to the saddle. The first half of the trail is in the forest and climbs gradually, but once you hit the first scree field, the trail becomes steep and rocky. Snow lingers on these rock fields late into summer—sturdy hiking boots are the footwear of choice here."
