Leadbetter Point State Park - Dune Forest Loop

Leadbetter Point State Park - Dune Forest Loop Professional Review and Guide

"Hike an easy loop over old dunes, through quiet maritime forest, and along bird-saturated Willapa Bay on the wild northern tip of the Long Beach Peninsula. Chances are good that you’ll sight a bear, deer, or otter along the way. Mosquito encounters are plentiful too, so come prepared for the little buggers.

Leadbetter Point consists of Washington’s wildest coastal lands outside of Olympic National Park. Undeveloped and untrammeled, over 3000 acres of dunes, salt marshes, and maritime forest and more than 8 miles of vehicle-free ocean and bay beaches (except for the short razor-clam
season) are protected within a state park and national wildlife refuge."
