Daffodil Cruise

Daffodil Cruise Professional Review and Guide

"The ride begins in the town of Orting, a farming community 20 miles southeast of Tacoma. Riders have three choices: the south route has a short, 20-mile loop to Kapowsin and a longer 50-mile ride that continues south to the Ohop Valley. A second 50-mile loop north of Orting creates a full century ride. The routes' name comes from the acres of daffodil farms and other springtime blossoms that decorate the roadsides.

Riders are surrounded by brilliant flowers, pastures, and forests. Looming majestically above the horizon is Mount Rainier, the highest peak in the Pacific Northwest. Rainier's glacier-covered cone is 25 mils away, but looks close enough to touch. Terrain: rolling hills. The only steep incline is the final descent into Orting."
