The trailhead is no longer marked by a sign, but is easily found by leaving the parking area and walking back up the road about 25 yards. The trail begins on your left and winds through beautiful old growth. The first 3/4 is through National Forest, then you enter the Olympic National Park. We found the trail to be very clear and it was just beautiful. Sun filtering through the giant fir and cedar trees was simply spectacular.
