Very easy drive to 2 nice overlooks. You can see Seattle a long ways off in the distance.

Lower half of trail was damp and cool. Upper half of trail still had a bit of snow. Snow was falling off the trees in small chunks like hail. Wonderful hike.

Great trail just off a main road. Perfect for
getting in shape for the Olympics or Cascades. About 1/8 mile from the trailhead
the switchbacks start and don't end until the summit. You need to be in at least somewhat decent shape. It is short and steep but the trail is in great condition.
    Parking is limited.

This hike is not technically difficult. It is just brutally steep. The hike is an out and back. 100% up hill on the way up and 100% downhill coming back. The view from the top is impressive, though limited by trees and growth. Mostly the view is to the northwest over the valley. There is one very small view of Hood Canal on the hike. You can also drive to the top for the view. Even with the drive up option the viewpoint and trail were not crowed (I saw 5 people on my hike).
