Rock Candy Mountain Professional Review and Guide
"Rock Candy Mountain, the northernmost of the three highest peaks in the Black Hills, has the best views of saltwater inlets at the southern end of Puget Sound. A network of well-maintained trails allows long runs through forests of cedar, hemlock, and fir.
Head up this wide, well-maintained dirt bike trail until you come to a Y intersection (B). This is the intersection with the Rock Candy Mountain East Trail, which will be your return route. The west trail to the right goes up a little ways, crosses a road, then stays
more level until you cross another dirt road. The trail intersects the North Rim Trail here (C); go left. After traveling uphill for about 0.5 mile, you come to another junction with the North Rim Trail, which winds around on its way to the north boundary of Capitol State Forest. A sign says ROCK CANDY SUMMIT 1.3 MILES."
