Leadbetter Point Professional Guide
Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook
"Leadbetter Point contains Washington’s wildest coastal lands outside of Olympic National Park, with the second-largest estuary on the Paci?c coast—some of the best habitats for breeding and migrating birds on the entire West Coast.
Undeveloped and untrammeled, the point offers salt marshes, mud?ats, maritime forest, and the state’s largest (more than 3000 acres) coastal dune complex. Lacking jetties, the point’s dunes, sandbars, and coastline are constantly shifting, as nature intended."
