One of the most prominent features on the Oregon side of the gorge, hulking nesmith Point hovers almost directly over the Columbia River. A lung buster of a climb, the hike to nesmith provides great physical conditioning with a healthy helping of views along the way. Once the site of a long-gone fire lookout, only the privy remains—barely.
