Pratt Lake

Pratt Lake Professional Review and Guide

"Pratt Lake Trail is the launching point for a number of lakes in the western Alpine Lakes region. Talapus and Olallie Lakes, as well as lakes that lie toward Mount Defiance, are accessible from the Pratt Lake Trail.

This is a fun run that climbs through dense old-growth forest. The descent to Pratt Lake has several large areas of scree, but the trail is generally good. The fall-to-spring snowpack results in an inviting summer run with plenty of stream crossings for cooling off or refilling bottles."
