Dominating the skyline over the town of North Bend like a giant stegosaurus, Mount Si is all that remains of an oceanic plate volcano. There are many classic hikes in the Seattle area, and the summit of Mount Si is the classic of classics. Without a doubt, its one of the most popular hikes in our area. Given its popularity, its interesting to note that within 4 miles the trail rises 3,600 feet. Hiking to the top of Mount Si is like climbing the Space Needle six times. This is not a hike for the faint of heart—or the out of shape!
