Most hikers know the Denny Creek Trail for its waterslide—admittedly a worthy goal, especially on a hot day or with small children in tow. Ah! But there is so much more to amaze and delight farther up the trail, including old-growth forest, two long waterfalls, wildflower gardens, and a subalpine lake with limited camping possibilities. This is a popular trail; don’t be surprised to see large groups of people, especially on weekends.
