The Lodge Lake Trail is easy to find right at Snoqualmie Ski Area. The hike is an easy four mile round trip.

The first mile is basically crossing through the hills of the ski area, under the lifts, and comes complete with noise from I-90 below. At the mile marker, you peak out and hit the forest and the quiet of the trail begins as you wind down to Lodge Lake.

On my mid-August day, the first rain in nearly three months had just fell and fog meandered around, making it all the more interesting. The wildflowers were also in full bloom, along with the opportunity to grab a blueberry along the trail now and then.

If you don't have much time, but would like an Alpine Lake experience. Go for it!
