Little Si Trail

Little Si Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Too many beginners with children take on the Mount Si Trail, which proves to be so difficult that the kids may never want to hike again. Overlooked is kid-size Little Si, also difficult but more realistic, offering children the challenge and satisfaction"

Great hike, well maintained trail. Even though it is the little sister to the big Si, it was a good work out. Great hike for taking the baby in the carrier and taking out of town guests. Nice view at summit with some peeks on the way. Was cool watching the rock climbers too.

Lots of people; nice and reasonable ascent for young kids (5-10). I even saw a 3 year old climbing along the trail.

Hike was a great work out. There was some fun scrambing to do. Trails were well maintained but signs and markers need to be worked on if not added. Was well worth the hike. Make sure you show up early...before 10am. Parking lot fills up quick! for those Geocachers out there. There is one at the top!!

Trail was in great shape. I would recommend leaving early, as the parking lots fill up by about 10 am, and the trail will be inundated with people. Fairly relaxed hike, good for those who don't hike much or are new to the game.

Go early - before 9am. Parking fills quickly. Even though the parking lot was full, the trail stayed rather quiet. Lots of sheer cliff faces - if you look up you may see some out climbing. The trail is quite shaded during the majority of the trip. The top is exposed to the elements, and offers great views of North Bend, Mt. Si, & surrounding peaks. Trekking poles really come in handy on this hike. Enjoy.

Nice hike on a hot day due to the fact that there is good cover for the majority of the hike... Has a rewarding view at the end.

Great hike. It's a good distance and climb but not too much of either. This is a nice hike for after work. Got to the trail head around 7 pm and got back before it was dark. It's an amazing view from the top.

this was a great trail to carry my nephew up, not too steep, lots to keep a one year old's attention, and the view made the climb worth it. down side, there is only one trash can, located inside the public rest room, not ideal for those of us packing out diapers and dog poo, as the loo was occupied.
