Hemlock Peak

Hemlock Peak Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Hemlock Peak is a high point on the ridge above Denny Creek that connects Mount Roosevelt, Kaleetan Peak, Chair Peak, Bryant Peak, The Tooth, and Denny Mountain to the Alpental ski area. The scramble starts at Denny Creek Trail, one of the most family-friendly trails of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. In summer, the main attraction is a smooth natural waterslide where the creek flows over a rock face. Kids and their parents love to cool off in the water in mid-August, and the trail is jammed whenever the sun shines and the weather is hot.

Hemlock is one of the scrambles in the Snoqualmie Pass area that is deceptive. In early summer you can lounge in the pools in your sandals, but if you scramble up the valley, be ready to tackle treacherous snowbridges undercut by feeder creeks, to bushwhack up slopes, and to maneuver up and down steep, icy snow."
