Raven Roost

Raven Roost Professional Review and Guide

"This demanding 27-mile trip combines a loop and an out-and-back ride. Although this circuit is not technical, the long climb requires strength and stamina. The route is entirely on gravel roads in good condition. The first half of the ride is a long ascent to a viewpoint at Raven Roost. The climbing is mostly easy to moderately difficult, with some short steep stretches.

The last 1.5 miles to the summit are steep. The return is an exhilarating downhill cruise. Vistas extend in every direction from Raven Roost. On the approach, you obtain a spectacular view of Fifes Ridge and Fifes Peaks to the south. From the top, the snowfields of Mt. Rainier are prominent in the southwest. The distant horizon to the north is filled with rugged peaks."
