Naches River

Naches River Professional Review and Guide

"The Naches derives its name from an Indian word meaning “plenty of water.” While this is dry country, there is usually plenty of water in the Naches during the May and June boating season.

The upper part of the river is in the Wenatchee National Forest in a canyon lined with basalt cliffs and pine-forested hillsides. The lower end of the run is in stark desert country, and the rapids become more exciting. The Naches often has sun and warm temperatures in May and June, when the water levels are good."
