Bethel Ridge

Bethel Ridge Professional Review and Guide

"This is an easy eight-mile out-and-back ride. The route follows a compacted dirt and gravel road for two miles to Bethel ridge. This road is in good condition, with some exposed rocks and loose gravel. Once on the ridge, you follow a dirt doubletrack that is in poor condition, with large, sharp rocks and lots of ruts.

Bethel Ridge drops off to reveal a sweeping panorama. The view to the south takes in the Tieton Basin and Divide Ridge. Farther to the west lies Goose Egg Mountain, at the eastern end of Rimrock Lake. Vistas extend for many miles; Mt. Adams can be seen in the southwest on clear days. In the spring, bring a jacket; in the fall, bring a "hunter orange" jacket."

This was certainly not an easy bike ride. The rocks that turned into boulders were not easy to navigate however the vista made up for the diffucult terrain. I think a much better ride would be to 4 wheel to Bethel Ridge and ride from there. The dirt road seemed to get much better after the ridge. One should mention there was a great view of Mt Rainer from the ridge.
