Wobbly Lake Trail

Wobbly Lake Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Hike this gentle trail through medium-age forest and openings to a campsite on the shore of Wobbly Lake. If you are here in the morning or evening, watch for Roosevelt elk around the lake and on the semi-open slope above to the northwest. The wide trail heads south from the trailhead, climbing moderately through the small Douglas fir trees.

In 0.3 mile the course crosses a small stream, which may be dry by late summer.A few larger firs and hemlocks are now included in the forest mix, and bunchberries carpet the ground in spots. Half a mile from the trailhead, you will cross another small stream, at 3,130 feet elevation.A short distance after crossing this second stream, the track flattens out as you pass through tall bracken ferns."
