Round Mountain Trail to Nason Ridge Trail

Round Mountain Trail to Nason Ridge Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Nason Ridge is a long ridge that rises on the north side of US 2. A trail runs the length of the ridge between Rainy Pass and Lake Wenatchee, though the section from the Smith Brook Road at Rainy Pass is abandoned, overgrown, and not recommended.

The climax of this trail is Alpine Lookout (6235 feet) on Nason Ridge, one of the few remaining lookouts that is staffed during the summer. It can be accessed from other trailheads, but the Round Mountain trail approach is recommended if you have only a day. Though Alpine Lookout is the usual destination of hikers, you don’t need to hike that far to experience the flowers and views."
