Silver Star Mountain Professional Review and Guide
"Silver Star Mountain is a renowned landmark clearly visible from North Cascades Highway. The chaotic western face reveals deeply rutted erosion joints and a seemingly sheer facade. To the north you can plainly see the “Wine Spires”: Burgundy, Chianti, Pernod, and Chablis. Due to their solid rock and striking alpine setting, these needle-like pinnacles are fashionable intermediate to advanced rock climbs. Though the ridgecrest appears ominous, do not be disheartened: On the backside, hidden from view from the highway, is a moderate glacier route to the summit."
