Harts Pass Professional Review and Guide
"These three summits are the highest points above the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail (Crest Trail No. 2000 in Washington) as it winds from Cutthroat Pass north to Harts Pass. Typical of the arid region east of the Cascade Crest, the countryside appears barren in comparison to the wetter, more glaciated slopes just a few miles to the west. Sometimes the terrain appears bizarre and surreal as the austere slopes open to huge vistas and endless horizons."
