Slide Lake Trail

Slide Lake Trail Professional Review and Guide

"One of several big, gorgeous backcountry lakes in the northern hinterlands of the Glacier Peak Wilderness, Slide Lake is the only one accessed by maintained trail. It’s a short and easy hike to the boulder- and old-growth-rimmed lake, and you may wonder whether it’s worth the drive in on the long logging road.

But, despite this hike’s brevity, you can easily spend the day here—fishing, wading, berry picking, or just staring at Snowking Mountain from a sun-kissed shoreline boulder. Yep, it’s worth it!"
