Larch Lakes

Larch Lakes Professional Review and Guide

"You may want to keep your dog on a leash for the first couple miles, since the lower section of the Entiat River Trail is used at times by motorcycles. Fortunately, those riders are few and far between, largely because the trail enters wilderness where motors are prohibited.

Simply ignore the few motorcycles you might see, and instead enjoy the great landscape. As you wander up the Entiat Valley, you’ll find great fields of huckleberries throughout the open pine forests along the valley bottom portions of the hike, and as you climb toward the ridgetop, you’ll find yourself in broad, sweeping meadows, beside gin-clear alpine lakes."
