Cow Creek Meadows

Cow Creek Meadows Professional Review and Guide

"You’ll share the first couple miles of this route with hikers heading up the long Entiat Valley, those climbing to Larch Lakes (Hike 26), and even a few motorcycles at times. But you’ll leave them all behind as you turn away from the Entiat and climb up a broad side canyon. Up there, you’ll find a vast forest lake and a sprawling grassy meadow in the heart of a sheerwalled cirque.

This flat-bottomed bowl, Cow Creek Meadows, is home to deer, mountain goats, marmots, and an array of birds. A sparking creek meanders through the meadow, with deep sandy-bottomed pools that prove ideal for soaking tired feet and sweaty bodies. Let the dogs romp, while you relax in the stunning scenery of this basin."
