Mima Loop Professional Review and Guide
"This 13.9-mile singletrack route will be a satisfying outing for the intermediate cyclist, while the shorter version, which eliminates much of the climbing (but also much of the fun descents), will make a challenging ramble for the beginner. Mima Falls is not imposing, as are so many waterfalls in the region, and the water may not even be falling under extended dry conditions, but it's certainly a pretty rest stop and a nice sidelight to a very pleasant outing.
The trail passes through numerous clear-cuts but also through soft, fern- and salal-covered, Douglas fir woods. There are a few wheel-sucking, muddy sections and some loose, pebbly sections, but it is mostly firm, good-quality singletrack. This area of the forest is motorcycle-free."
