Lake Lorraine

Lake Lorraine Professional Review and Guide

"Backpack over a high ridge and down to Lake Lorraine, a remote lake nestled in a high basin. Lake Lorraine is a small lake set in a deep basin above Trapper Creek. It is reached via a 3.5-mile spur trail from Leland Creek Trail.

Given that Lake Lorraine is a strenuous 20-mile round trip from Icicle Creek trailhead, it is not usually overcrowded. The trail climbs up and over a ridge, past a former lookout site, with wildflowers and views. If you’re looking to get away from the crowds and don’t mind pounding out some miles, this is a good hike."
