Eightmile Campground Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This campground on Icicle Creek, the first in a string of seven national forest campgrounds in Icicle Canyon, is the trailhead for some choice backpacking routes south into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.

Nearby Mountaineer Creek was so named for good reason. The campground at the bottom of a steep canyon is in shade much of the day."
