Dragontail Peak

Dragontail Peak Professional Review and Guide

"Dragontail Peak is the second-highest summit in the Stuart Range. A “ski ascent” is possible from the east side, via the 2,500-foot slope from Colchuck Lake to Asgaard Pass, because the road to the trailhead melts out long before the skiing deteriorates.

Crampons and ice axes are advisable, and both user fees and entry permits may be required. Difficulties: High avalanche potential; routefinding required; permit/fee area."
