Kirkland

Kirkland Professional Review and Guide

"This walk offers glimpses of the luxurious homes and condominiums overlooking Lake Washington, passes through a series of people-friendly lakeside parks, and explores the art and restaurant scene of this rapidly growing community surrounding Marina Park. Special attractions: Waterfront views, shops, antique stores, several restaurants.

Kirkland has more than 2 miles of shoreline parks, and the community recently built a new library and performing arts center. The center of activity is Lake Street South, from the downtown gallery district south along the lake to the Carillon Point complex, which includes more restaurants, more works of art, a yacht moorage, and a luxury hotel. Lake Street is where most Kirkland residents get their exercise. Walkers, joggers, skaters, and parents pushing strollers share the sidewalk."

On the eastside, it is tough to beat the Kirkland waterfront during the warmer months! There are always tons of people running, throwing a frisbee, or sun bathing down by the water. Great shops and restaurants within a short walk make this one of my favorite waterfronts in the Seattle area, second only to Alki.
