Sammamish River Trail

Sammamish River Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Suburban recreating doesn’t get much smoother than a ride on the
Sammamish River Trail, the flat, buffered green ribbon that hugs that
river’s east bank from Bothell to Redmond. It’s well used but mostly
free of traffic noise or interruptions, and it offers comfort stops at
evenly spaced intervals."

This is an easy trail leading along the river, busy but even on a sunny day like today it wasn't too crowded. The trail leads along peaceful river with many great views of it snaking through it's coridor. There are several places with picnic tables along the trail where you can sit and enjoy the views. We started at Gateway Park in Woodinville and from there to Marymoore Park in Redmond the trail was mostly flat, wide enough to accomodate the traffic and to our liking there weren't any major intersection that would make us stop so the ride was nicely smooth all the way. From Woodinville it gave us total of 20 pleasurable miles RT.
