Tradition Lake Plateau

Tradition Lake Plateau Professional Review and Guide

"This pleasant loop on Tiger Mountain’s Tradition Lake Plateau offers fairly level, scenic trails with occasional rolling hills and one semi-long climb. It has all the usual roots and rocks that a trail runner encounters, providing a good introduction and good practice for the beginning trail runner. It’s close in to Seattle and Bellevue, and there is plenty of parking."

I am pretty new to trail running. This was a great intro for me. Lots of solitude. I have now run it twice and look forward to getting to know it better in the coming months.
we did a variation on this run last week: power lines to brink trail to suicide (steep hill down to sunset blvd.). then RR grade to high school and back up the high school hill. at the top of hill, took adventure trail and linked up to wetlands trail (this is nice, diverges somewhat from the description in the guide but is simple enough to follow) returned via to the power lines. followed these to round the lake trail and back to the start. i live out of country now, but have run these trails a lot in high school, so it was nice to be back. it was also nice to see as much nature as we did so near the city: on our one hour run we saw two deer and a black bear (!) the bear was crossing the power lines from lake tradition into the forest at the entrance to swamp trail, not 500 meters from the start - this is why we did not run swamp! have run and hiked up there for years, but that was a first and a truly a special treat!
