This scenic trail starts in Issaquah at a junction with the East Sammamish Trail. The Issaquah-Preston Trail continues as an urban paved trail for a little over 1 mile, paralleling I-90. The trail passes under Issaquah Highlands Drive Northeast and continues east through forestlands as a gravel trail above I-90 and Issaquah Creek for 2 miles to where it passes through a small parking area at High Point Road near the I-90 High Point interchange. The gravel trail continues east another 1.1 miles between the freeway and Issaquah Creek. The gravel segment ends and the trail continues 0.7 mile as the Issaquah-Preston Trail Track, a delineated and dedicated two-way trail along the south side of rural High Point Way. The trail crosses the road and meets the west side of the Preston-Snoqualmie Trail. The Issaquah-Preston Trail offers pleasant hiking and mountain biking, connecting the East Lake Sammamish Trail with the Preston-Snoqualmie Trail.
