Frater Lake

Frater Lake Professional Review and Guide

"Frater lake is one of the eight glacial lakes that make up the Little Pend Oreille chain in northeastern Washington. Frater lake Trail #150 is part of a 15-mile network of cross-country ski trails. This 4.3-mile loop serves as an introduction to the mountain biking opportunities in the area. About half of the route is on singletracks in mostly good condition.

The other half is on rough doubletrack roads. The loop has a fairly low elevation gain, but it does contain some steep ascents and rocky stretches. Overall, the terrain is rolling, with a significant number of ups and downs. The trail winds through dense forest and boggy areas and past rocky outcrops, meadows, and clear-cuts."
