Big Snow Mountain

Big Snow Mountain Professional Review and Guide

"Big Snow Mountain lies just north of the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie River. Its domed summit provides large-scale ski descents well into June, while its central position provides a spectacular vantage for viewing the North-Central Cascades.

There are two approaches: from the north and from the south. The northern approach, described here, is longer, but provides a better ski tour than the southern route. The southern approach may require fords and serious bush-whacking, or a mountain bike, depending on the condition of Middle Fork Road. Difficulties: High avalanche potential; routefinding required; permit / fee area."
