Tinkham Peak/Silver Peak Loop

Tinkham Peak/Silver Peak Loop Professional Review and Guide

"If your dog is a scent hound, get a good grip on his leash before starting up this loop route. The forest and dense underbrush along the lower sections of the route are perfect cover for a host of critters, from raccoons and possums to bobcats, coyotes, badgers, weasels, martens, mink, and more.

The passing wildlife scents hitting the keen nose of a hound may make the dog crazy with the endless desire to explore those smells. If your pooch is a typical trail dog, though, and only has a passing interest in the smells of his wild relatives, then you merely need to keep the dog close and watch for his reactions to be able to spot some of the nearby creatures."
