Living Legacy Trail

Living Legacy Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Enjoy a peaceful walk along the Hamma Hamma River and to a historic guard station built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). This delightful family-friendly—and surprisingly lightly traveled—loop provides good river views and interpretive panels that offer a peek back into history.

From the campground, head east on a section of tread renovated in 2015 by the Mount Rose Trail Crew to accommodate wheelchairs. Stop at the interpretive panels that recount the role of the Depression-era Civilian Conservation Corps in this corner of Olympic National Forest. The first 0.25 mile is wheelchair-accessible."
