Despite being located right off of busy i-84, the Wygant Trail is one of the quietest hikes in the gorge. Granted, the summit is forested and reaching it requires steep climbing over a rapidly decaying trail. But the lower sections of this trail are in good shape, leading to excellent viewpoints of the river and surrounding prominent peaks. And there are flowers aplenty too—and poison oak, so cover up or save this one for October.
