Grand Park Trail

Grand Park Trail Professional Review and Guide

"A mild descent to a lovely mountain meadow brimming with wildflowers and clear streams becomes a relatively flat hike to a massive expanse of subalpine park atop a plateau. You cannot miss Grand Park, the massive plateau with numerous wildflowers directly in front of you.

Aptly named, Grand Park is about 1. 5 miles long and 0. 5 mile wide, the flattest ground anywhere on or around Mount Rainier. It is absolutely spectacular. Walk along the Lake Eleanor Trail for a mile or so, and then turn around. Few places in Mount Rainier National Park offer such a majestic view of Mount Rainier."
