Dege Peak Trail

Dege Peak Trail Professional Review and Guide

"Forest Lake may be the most underappreciated lake within Mount Rainier National Park. You won’t find grand views. It’s not in a broad, sun-filled meadow. There is minimal camping space available and not a lot of potential for extending the relatively short mileage.

Many hikers see those as negatives. Perfect! Because that means there’s a much higher likelihood that you and I can enjoy this wonderful route in relaxing solitude. What you will find is a gorgeous forest valley, a pristine woodland pond, lots of huckleberries (reason enough to visit!) and a wide assortment of wildlife."
