A child’s chance to climb a short steep mountain and exult that he is almost as high as Mount Rainier across the way. The trail is a ridge in subalpine timber surrounded by clear-cuts. Compare the ridge to the backbone of a dinosaur. The reward is getting to the top.

The road to the trail entrance is closed after the big storm a couple years ago. You may still be able to hike in, but this would add at least 14 miles
