Kyes Peak

Kyes Peak Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"The mountains around Monte Cristo are a little-visited cluster of very rugged, steep, and even glaciated peaks at moderate elevation. The area was well known and explored in the decades after its intense but short-lived mining boom.

What remains now is a lonely area that is relatively easy to reach from the Puget Sound basin. Because these mountains are steep and serious, you will be able to apply your skiing expertise, ability to assess snow stability, and ski mountaineering skills as far as you would like."
