Twin Sisters and Fryingpan Lakes Trails 980, 2000, and 43 Professional Review and Guide
"Climb from Deep Creek Trailhead to the plateau lands of the southwestern part of the William O. Douglas Wilderness. Then explore the lakes, meadows, and subalpine forest of the plateau as you watch and listen for the magnificent elk that abound in the area.
The Twin Sisters Trail leaves the Deep Creek Campground and Trailhead heading to the southwest. Shortly the trail crosses a wooden bridge over Deep Creek, at 4,280 feet elevation, where you enter the William O. Douglas Wilderness. After crossing the creek the route climbs to the southeast, through a mature forest of Douglas fir, cedar, hemlock, and true firs."
