"Hike from Deep Creek Canyon to Twin Sisters Lakes. Then climb to the 6, 340-foot high summit of Tumac Mountain in the center of a lake-dotted plateau. The first 1.8 miles of this hike follows the Twin Sisters Trail 980.The trail leads south-west from the trailhead.

In 150 yards the route crosses a wooden bridge over Deep
Creek, at 4,280 feet elevation. Once across the bridge the route enters the William O. Douglas Wilderness. Then the tread climbs to the southeast, through a mature forest of true firs, cedar, Douglas fir, and hemlock."
