Really need to visit this place from July to Sept (although in Sept be prepared for odd and ever changing weather). Very busy hike with a lot of people and a very nice one! While the elevation gain is pretty good, it's not long and even kids seem to have no problem going up (once in a while a kid complains when coming down). Take frequent breaks - you will want to anyway, especially on a day where the sun shoot rays down to the vegetation. Once you reach the top, there is the little of the Twin Sister lakes and once you reach the lake you can see Tumac Mountain - a lot of times with a beautful reflection in the water if it's a nice calm day. Bring DEET and any other chemical you can use to keep the bugs off as the mosquitos are out in force until the frost comes in Sept.
