Galena Chain Lakes

Galena Chain Lakes Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Winding around Table Mountain, this trail meanders amidst tall and elfin subalpine forests, wet and dry meadows, and alongside lakeshores and stream banks. Throughout it all plant lovers will find the plant communities are diverse, interesting, and exciting.

And, like any other hike in the Mount Baker region, the views are exquisite—as long as the sun is shining and the skies are clear, that is! You’ll delight in tall cliffs, far vistas, lake basin views, and glimpses of the region’s two volcanic giants. This is actually a partial loop hike and is accessible from three separate parking lots. The particular route described here requires a car shuttle, though a full loop can be made from any trailhead by utilizing the Wild Goose Trail as a connector."
