Chilliwack Group Professional Review and Guide
"Situated in the Custer Ridge area north of Mt. Shuksan and the Picket Range, the Chilliwack Group of peaks rises just at the U.S. border with Canada. These jagged, towering pinnacles are the archetype of a lonesome, untamed, and otherworldly wilderness. Here the dark rock and remarkably steep profiles of the Mox Peaks (also called Twin Spires) puncture the skyline. This is a land that seems locked in time. The approach is over rough roads through Canada and across the border on a seldom traveled foot tread. A grueling ascent through dense forest leads to a thundering waterfall. You climb upward along, and sometimes through, the rushing frigid shower to emerge in the highest reaches of a lowland plateau. From there you trudge along swollen creeks and marshy bottoms, then ascend among cliffs to the splendid, icy glaciers that blanket the feet of the mountains."
