South Snider–Jackson Trail

South Snider–Jackson Trail Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"Hike a steep ridge shrouded in a canopy of ancient timber and experience the world-famous Hoh Rain Forest valley from above. This is a tough hike and views are sparse. But you can marvel at monstrous trees in solitude—something you can’t do in the popular valley below.

This route was threatened with abandonment, but the Washington Trails Association helped resurrect it in the early 2000s. Maintenance is light, however, so you may encounter obstacles.

Dogs are prohibited."
