Olympic National Park Mora

Olympic National Park: Mora Professional Guide

Detailed Trail Description from our Guidebook

"This is an isolated campground near the mouth of the Quillayute River. The nearby fishing community of La Push is home to the Quileute Indians. Mora Road continues past the campground to Rialto Beach, the only point between the Hoh River and Neah Bay with vehicle access to the coastline of Olympic National Park.

The rocky headlands and offshore sea stacks are stark reminders of the wildness of this part of the coast. This stretch of the Pacific Ocean has been designated as the Quillayute Needles National Wildlife Refuge, a part of the Olympic Coast Marine Sanctuary. Nesting shorebirds and marine mammals find refuge here."
